Ipswich Building Society branches collect donations to help those affected by Sudbury blaze

All branches of Ipswich Building Society are now collecting donations to help the people who have lost their homes and possessions as a result of the fire which broke out in the Suffolk market town of Sudbury on the evening of Sunday 6th September. The Society’s Sudbury branch has been unaffected by the fire and has been collecting donation since last Monday.

Customer Adviser Chloe Lock commented, “Sudbury is a fantastic place to live and work, and we’ve all been shocked by the events of Sunday evening. There is such a good community spirit in the local area and we want to do our bit to help those who have been affected.”

Ipswich Building Society branches across Suffolk are accepting monetary donations from those visiting the branches in person. The donations will be distributed to those affected in conjunction with Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, whose emergency housing team were able to offer immediate support.
