Ipswich Building Society encourages local charities to apply to become official partner of its Twilight 10k Road Race event in 2018

Charity partnership applications are now open for the annual Twilight 10k Road Races in Ipswich on Friday 3rd August 2018, which is being held for the fourth year in a row in association with Ipswich Building Society, Ipswich Jaffa Running Club, Suffolk New College and Ipswich Borough Council.

To qualify, charities must operate solely or principally in the Ipswich and Suffolk areas and promote, encourage or facilitate physical activity and wellbeing.
The 10k race is a mass participation run to beat the sunset, open to runners of all levels and abilities. The Twilight Road Races enjoyed a successful launch in 2015, when almost 1,000 people took to the start line at Suffolk New College. A year later, the second annual races attracted a further 300 participants and in 2017 over 1,700 people took part.

The selected Twilight 10k Road Races 2018 charity partner will receive:
•    Sole charity partner status of the races
•    10 complimentary places for fundraising runners
•    A press release and photo opportunity announcing the partnership
•    4 banner spaces at the finish line / race plaza
•    A charity partner stand at the race plaza
•    Event website and social media coverage

Commenting on the charity partnership, Ipswich Building Society CEO, Richard Norrington said “We are pleased to invite charities to apply to be the official race charity partner and benefit from this growing event, which has become an annual highlight among the Suffolk running community. The selected charity will be able to fundraise through their allocation of free places and also raise awareness of their work in the community.”

Charities who wish to apply for the Twilight 10k Road Race 2018 charity partnership can submit their application to [email protected] and explain why they would like to be chosen. Applications close on Saturday 10th February. Several hundred racers have already signed up, with the first 1,000 entitled to a FREE official race t-shirt sponsored by Ensors.
