Ipswich Building Society to open new Woodbridge premises
Ipswich Building Society has announced the relocation of its Woodbridge branch from New Street to a new premises at 24 The Thoroughfare.
As part of the commitment to its branch network in the region, the Society has signed terms to take on the new location in order to improve its services, increase space and provide flexibility for its members. The move will also make the branch more accessible for those with limited mobility, including wheelchair users, and people with pushchairs.
The interior refurbishment at 24 The Thoroughfare will begin imminently, with the existing premises continuing to operate to minimise any disruption. Members will be notified in advance of any temporary closures that may take place while equipment is being transferred between premises. All staff from the existing New Street branch will transfer to the new premises. The new branch is due to open this summer and the Society will continue to look at its options for the New Street premises until the lease expires.
Commenting on plans for the new branch, Richard Norrington, Chief Executive at Ipswich Building Society, said: “We are delighted to announce the relocation of our Woodbridge branch. We have been seeking to move into new premises for some time, and are pleased to have found a suitable location. The increased space and accessibility will help us continue to deliver our valued face-to-face service.
Woodbridge remains an important branch location for Ipswich Building Society, serving members in the town and local area since 1988. This move is part of our commitment to our members and the wider Woodbridge community.”
