About Uinsure.

Buildings insurance

  • £1million as standard
  • Includes your walls, roof, windows and anything else that forms part of the structure of your home, such as fixtures and fittings like your kitchen and bathroom
  • Cover for garages, outbuildings and other structures, such as drives and patios.

Exclusions and limitations will apply.

Contents insurance

  • Up to £75,000 as standard (with the option to increase to £100,000)
  • Contents are the items in your home that could be taken with you if you moved house. So they include furniture, carpets, laptops and clothing
  • We’ll pay to repair or replace the contents of your home if they’re lost, stolen or damaged by something covered by your policy, for example, a flood or fire.

Additions

Optional extras.

  • This protects against sudden, unintentional and unforeseen incidents such as smashing a window with a football or hammering a nail into a pipe
  • Covers accidental damage to either your building, its contents or both
  • Also includes damage caused by pets.

Examples of what’s not covered:

  • Damage caused by a storm to fences, gates and hedges
  • Damage caused by faulty workmanship, design or materials.
  • Items you take outside your home worth less than £2,500 individually are not covered automatically for loss, theft or damage by contents insurance. If you want to insure these items, for example jewellery or mobile phones, you’ll need to add personal belongings cover.
  • There is a limit per item of £2,500 and individual limits also apply for mobile phones (£500), personal money (£750) and credit cards (£1,000). To cover items with a value above these limits, they’ll need to be specified on your policy under the ‘High risk items’ option.

Examples of what’s not covered:

  • Loss or damage caused by theft or attempted theft from an unattended motor vehicle
  • Loss within the home of items which are not high-risk property.

High risk items

  • This is designed to cover you for theft, loss or damage to individual specified items at home and away from home, that are valued at over £2,500.

Mobile phones

  • Mobile phones are covered for loss or damage as standard within the home
  • If you add personal belongings cover, any mobile phones up to £500 are covered out of the home
  • Optional mobile phone cover provides cover for mobile phones that are worth over £500.

Bicycles

  • Bicycles regardless of value are covered for loss or damage as standard within the home
  • If you add personal belongings any bicycles worth up to £1,000 are covered. This is away from home or up to 60 days outside of Europe.
  • Optional bicycle cover provides cover for bikes that are worth over £1,000.
  • This provides immediate assistance from professional tradespeople to deal with a range of emergency incidents around the home that need resolving as soon as possible.
  • This includes boiler breakdown, a blocked drain or a burst pipe.
  • The policy provides cover up to £1,500 (inc VAT) per claim, with no annual maximum limit on claims and no excess.

Examples of what’s not covered:

  • Blocked toilets or drains where the cause is a result of misuse or the internal workings of the flush
  • Boilers that are over 15 years old.

 

  • This provides you and your family with up to £150,000 to cover a range of legal help and support
  • It protects you against the costs of being sued or having to make a claim against someone else for things like employment disputes, personal injury or property issues.

Examples of what’s not covered:

  • Incidents that started before the policy
  • Claims relating to anyone you live with or have lived with previously.
