We’re really pleased to announce the opening date of our new branch in Felixstowe.

On Friday 14 March 2025 at 11.00am our CEO, Richard Norrington, and Mayor of Felixstowe, Councillor David Rowe, will ‘cut the ribbon’.

Opening hours

On launch day, Friday 14 March 2025, we’ll be open from 11.00am to 2.00pm.

From Saturday 15 March 2025 onwards, our opening hours will be:

Monday – 9.00am – 2.00pm
Tuesday – 9.00am – 2.00pm
Friday – 9.00am – 2.00pm
Saturday – 9.00am – 12.00pm

You can find us at:

Unit 7A

With free parking next door, we’ll be sharing the space with our friends at East of England Co-op Travel.

Services available

You’ll be able to access a cash service, discuss your savings accounts, update passbooks, seek financial guidance, and open new accounts with the Society. A meeting room will also be available to discuss private and confidential matters with staff.

With many banks closing branches, we’re proud to be opening a new one to support the people of Suffolk. From Friday 14 March 2025 we will have 11 full-service locations across the county, which is more than any of the Big Four banks (Barclays, HSBC, NatWest, Lloyds). This is in addition to our growing online presence.

Richard Norrington, CEO, Suffolk Building Society said: “As Felixstowe is our county’s fifth-largest town, it’s fitting that we are opening with a new full-service branch.

“We’re pleased to be working closely with the East of England Co-op to make this new ‘shared space’ branch format possible. We know that many people in the town have long wanted us to re-open a face-to-face service, giving members access to the support and personal service they have come to associate with Suffolk Building Society.”

We look forward to welcoming you into our new Felixstowe branch from 14 March 2025.
