Our Sudbury branch have donated to local charity GoStart, an organisation dedicated to offering low cost transport services to older people and anyone who is disadvantaged or isolated.

What is GoStart community trust?

GoStart are a Sudbury based charity offering low cost transport to older people, people with disabilities, school children and voluntary and charitable groups. With a fleet of five accessible vehicles, GoStart offers a wide range of transport services which allow passengers to go shopping, attend health appointments, visit friends and relatives, access educational facilities, enjoy day trips and get to work. Further details are available on their website here, including information on what makes you eligible for the service and how to book.

The Society’s donation

Our Sudbury branch are delighted to donate a cheque to help support all the great work GoStart are doing for the community. The donation will help offer a free taxi service for less mobile members in the community to get their COVID-19 jab. The Society are delighted to continue helping in the community and pride ourselves on these relationships. This donation comes as in addition to local work from our Haverhill branch, which you can read more about here.
