Last week we released our latest batch of member events up until the beginning of March. We have some great events lined up, brand new for 2019, including:

Christchurch Mansion Tour

Join us for an exclusive guided tour around the historic Christchurch Mansion. Learn the history of this great Tudor house, the story of the families who lived there and highlights of some of the most important items amongst the collection. The exciting ‘Kiss and Tell’ exhibition will be showing in the Wolsey Gallery which features the iconic sculpture "The Kiss" by Rodin as the centrepiece. The tour will finish with tea, coffee and biscuits.

Nethergate Brewery Tour

A walking tour around the Nethergate Brewery near Sudbury, Suffolk. Nethergate was established in 1986 in Clare, Suffolk, originally producing cask ale before diversifying to include porter and later IPA. Learn the history of the brewery and the ingredients used to make Nethergate ales – plus, try up to six different types of beer with time to browse the shop afterwards.

Beaded Jewellery Tour

Gain the skills to be able to create your very own beaded bracelet. Yvonne will show you how to use a needle and beading thread to make a beautiful handmade creation to take home and wear with pride!

Blacksmith Workshop Tour

Enjoy a visit to Kingdom Forge, a blacksmithing and engineering workshop in Brundish, just north of Framlingham. The visit will include a brief history of blacksmithing, a tour of the workshop which includes Victorian forging machinery and the opportunity to create a little something to take home. The tour will last around 4 hours with tea and coffee provided.
