Some Roman and Iron Age coins from Suffolk are one step closer to seeing the light of day.

The team at our Halesworth branch were thrilled to donate to the Halesworth and District Museum – which will go towards some new display cabinets in the future.

The donation used funds generated by members taking out our Mutual Advantage Accounts, which allows members to gain interest on their savings whilst we give the branches nominated charity a 0.30% bonus each year based on members savings.

Vicky from our Halesworth branch explains what the donation meant for the team:

“We were delighted to be able to help the Halesworth and District Museum in the undertaking of their exciting new project. Supporting our community is key to what we do at Suffolk Building Society and will continue to do so in the future.”

If you are interested in visiting the Halesworth and District Museum they are located in Halesworth’s ex railway station building, open from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Further information is available on their website.

The latest edition of Halesworth Hoot from the Leiston Press featured this story and summarises all that’s going on in the local area. You can read the full story here.
