This June we’re celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by creating Jubilee scrapbooks in each of our nine Suffolk branches.
You can be part of it by sharing your memories of Royal visits to Suffolk and Jubilee street parties in your town or village, or even press cuttings you’ve treasured from days gone by.
To help support your local branch, you can contribute to their scrapbook by providing us with any memorabilia you have of her Majesty. You can send us in copies of pictures or documents digitally at [email protected] or in person via any of our branches.
Appearances in Suffolk
The Queen has visited Suffolk many times during her reign, including her Silver and Gold Jubilee, where she unveiled a plaque for the official opening of the Ipswich waterfront.
Most recently appearing Her Majesty appeared in 2009 for the annual maundy service in Bury St Edmunds. A traditional event in which the sovereign gives specially minted coins to people nominated for their service to the local community.
Thank you in advance for all contributions to our scrapbooks, we’re pleased to be celebrating our Majesty on her Platinum Jubilee. We look forward to seeing you all in branches and soaking up this special affair.
