Ensors returns for the second year as the official t-shirt sponsor of the Ipswich Building Society Twilight Road Races
Ensors, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants & Tax Advisors in East Anglia, has returned for the second year as the official t-shirt sponsor of the Ipswich Building Society Twilight Road Races.
The Twilight 10k & 5k Road Races are organised by the Ipswich JAFFA Running Club in association with Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk New College. This year’s event is in aid of Inspire Suffolk, a locally based organisation which uses education and sport as a way of making a difference to the lives of local people.
The event consists of two races on a flat town centre course. The 5k race is aimed at runners who can complete the course within 20 minutes (males) to 22 minutes (females), where top performers will have the chance to win a cash prize. The 10k race which is a mass participation run to beat the sunset is a whistle-stop tour of Ipswich’s iconic buildings, open to runners of all levels and abilities.
Carl, the Twilight Road Races director commented, “We know everyone trains really hard for this race and we want our runners to have a platform to share their journey on. This year, we’re excited to give runners the opportunity to join a fun social media campaign, where they can share training pictures on Twitter with @Ipswich10, using the #RunIpswich hashtag. All entrants who post a picture of their t-shirt will have the chance of winning one of 5 free entries for Twilight 2018.”
Fiona Hotston Moore, partner at Ensors Chartered Accountants, commented: “After the success of last year’s event we were really keen to return as t-shirt sponsors, and were particularly excited about this year’s #RunIpswich campaign. I encourage everyone to sign up early, as only the first 1000 entrants will receive the stunning technical training t-shirt.”
Richard Norrington, CEO of Ipswich Building Society, commented: “We’re delighted that Ensors will be sponsoring the t-shirts for the Twilight Road Races for the second year in a row. The races have become an annual highlight among the Suffolk community and not only does it bring people together, but it’s a great way for people to join in giving back to the local community.”
Entries are now open to participate in the race, scheduled for Friday 18th August from 7pm, where the first thousand entrants will receive a free t-shirt. Both races will start and finish outside Suffolk New College on Rope Walk, with participants taking in many of Ipswich’s iconic buildings such as the Willis building, Cornhill, Ancient House and Giles Circus.
