Following on from the success of the Pigs Gone Wild art trail back in 2016 which saw more than 30 weird and wonderful pig sculptures pop up across Ipswich, St Elizabeth Hospice have again teamed up with Wild in Art and new partners Andersen Press to bring another mass participation art trail to the streets of Ipswich.

2019 is a special year as it marks the 30th anniversary of both Elmer and St Elizabeth Hospice, seeing the two unite to draw in the crowds with a new mass participation art trail while raising much needed funds for the hospice. We’re delighted to have once again signed up as Community Engagement Partner.

In just a few weeks’ time we’ll be unveiling the much-anticipated design of our very own Elmer sculpture at our flagship town centre branch. And while the design is all set and the painter hard at work, there’s still one more thing to be settled – the name! (That’s where you come in.)

We can exclusively reveal the design of our Elmer is based upon Suffolk – and we’re asking if you can help us come up with a name, with a £10 Amazon voucher up for grabs for the best suggestion! Simply enter using the link below and send us your ideas, no matter how weird or wonderful they might be.

This article was published under our previous name of Ipswich Building Society. We changed our name in 2021 – find out more.
